What It Takes To Build a Computer Lab

Recently, Lisa Lempges, Information Services Manager at the Shawnee Public library, shared with us what goes into creating a computer lab (with funding from Broadband USA and OK Connect). The library, part of the Pioneer System, regularly hosts classes on various technology and digital topics. The lab went from an empty, not-even-carpeted space to a fancy, glassed-in tech lab, full of computers and presentation equipment, ready for students of all ages.

Interactive resumes

When I took my resume from straight up text to something with more muscle - I was pretty impressed with myself. I used the Grid Resume template from Graphic River. Oh, but I could have kicked it up a level with an interactive resume.

An interactive resume is media-rich with lots of well-placed graphics, charts, maps, QR codes, audio and/or video. Traditional resumes are all text and a bit stale. Social and visual resumes use infographics to represent the raw data that is you. Oh yeah, and you share it on the Web.
