OK Connect Libraries are in planning mode

The libraries have had a second round of training for OK Connect video-conferencing and recording. They’ve been working up some pretty great ideas for community and cultural events to share with the world. Here are a few potential events:

  • Master Gardeners - where you could ask a local plant expert to help you solve a problem.
  • Learn the nuts and bolts of self-publishing.
  • Learn a language.
  • Make kolaches.
  • Community Brain Box – an expert from the community will talk about something he or she knows all about – baiting a hook, knitting a sock, or tuning up your bicycle.

This is our opportunity to share what is unique about each community. So, in addition to hosting serious meetings or nerve-racking job interviews, the video-conferencing system is helping libraries advance knowledge and culture.
